Myths

My favourite animal myth is How the Kangaroo Got His Tail. It is very interesting.
http://www.planetozkids.com/oban/kanga.htm

A myth is a made-up story that could be real and have happened in the past.
This is an animal myth about foxes.

The Fox's Tail

A long time ago the fox was not red or orange, it was always brown. It didn't have a tail either, just a little stump like the rabbit has. He was walking in the woods, when he saw a fire and some people sleeping beside it. One human has a piece of meat in his hand. He was hungry so he tried to get the meat. The human held it tightly so the fox had to cut his hand off, and blood splattered all over fox. Fox ran away, unaware he was running towards the fire. He was burned and the blood made his body all red.

Folktale

Folktales are stories passed on by talking generation to generation. They are old and traditional stories that reflect also on culture.

My favourite folktale is A Crocodile Named Rain Cloud. It is sad but is filled with kindness.

The Fox and The Wolf

This is a fable i wrote. A fable is a story about animals with human qualities, and will often have a moral or lesson to it. Comment.

My favourite fable is the race between the tortoise and the hare, where the tortoise wins because he never gives up but the hare was over-confident and thought he could win after sleeping.

Once there was a small and sly fox, and as he was hunting in the woods, he soon met a wolf, who wanted to eat him. “Hello my cousin!” said the fox. "be that as it may, I am going to eat you out of my hunger, " said the hungry wolf. "please don't eat me, I can give you food, " cried the fox. The fox went to a chicken farm, and killed several chickens. He gave it to the wolf, but he said it wasn't enough to please him. The fox went went to the farm, and brought more chickens to the wolf. The wolf still wanted more so the fox got all the chickens and gave it to the wolf. "Thank you cousin, but next time I won't let you off so easy," said the wolf. "Of course not," whispered the wolf slyly. At night when the wolf was sleeping, the fox murdered the wolf and took back all the food. "Haha, don't trust a fox, " said the laughing fox.

Chart Make

So i made a few charts on Excel today, a pie chart, line chart, and a scatter chart.
This is my pie chart. It shows how many kids wear different clothing sizes. It shows the percentage of each category: small, medium, and large.

This is my line chart. It shows the marks of each kid after a test.

This is my scatter chart. It shows the relationship between the kids' height and weight.

Cookie and Mimi

By:Alex Hu

Mimi was named Candy when he’s a baby, but later we found out he is a boy.
Mimi a été nommé Candy quand il un bébé, mais plus tard nous decouvert il est un garcon.

When my father cooks and we stand around, he will sit on the counter and watch. This is how he gets up there: he sits on the ground, moves a little bit, and then crouches down, and he pushes up and jumps! Hey, he’s drinking my orange juice!

Every morning, when we go to school, Mimi will send us to the door. Look, this is me mimicking Mimi.

Chaque matin, quand nous vont a l'école, Mimi enverra nous de la porte. Regarde, c'est moi singeant Mimi.

I love to blow bubbles and Mimi loves them too. See, I am blowing bubbles and Mimi is popping all of them. I can change tools to blow different sizes of bubbles. And my bubble shooter can make four bubbles stick together and it looks really cool. In this picture I was using a pipe to blow the largest bubbles. I brought this toy from the Canadian Tire. It was really fun.

J'aime souffler bulles et Mimi aime

Mimi is really lazy. He always lies in the small chair with a cushion (a really soft pillow). Sometimes he closes his eyes and sleeps. And suddenly when there is a really loud noise, he opens his eyes!

Mimi has really smooth and shining fur. I wish I was Mimi and as furry as him. So I don’t have to put on my jacket when I want to go outside.

That is the lost yellow-brownish cat. We found him the box that dad made for cats to stay in. It is really cute, see? We sent it to the animal control center. Its eyes were the same as our cats. The cat also ate Mimi’s food. As you see here, it is a very silent cat. But when it’s cold and hungry, it screams like crazy!

Cookie is really cute and she licks people a lot. She always plays with Mimi and licks his face like crazy.

Mimi is good because he doesn’t poo randomly. Mimi is bad because he bits and scratches a lot. Cookie is bad because she always poo on carpets and floors. Cookie is good because she doesn’t bite and scratch, she only licks.

Sometimes cookie eats cat food and Mimi eats dog food. They are so weird.

My pets rock!
