One of my favourite TV shows is Naruto. It is a cool Japanese anime show that almost everyone I know watches. This show is about a boy named Naruto, and when he was born, The Fourth Hokage sealed the dreaded Nine-Tailed fox into his body. At that time, the only way of defeating the monster was to seal it into someone. Now, you’re probably wondering what a Hokage is and what a Nine-Tailed fox is. Well, the Hokage is the leader and king of the Village Hidden in the Leaves and the Nine-Tailed Fox is a terrible monster that attacked the village.
Naruto was twelve years old at ninja school to train himself and become a real ninja. He was always goofing around, not learning properly. But one day, Mizuki, a ninja teacher, lied to Naruto about learning a skill to pass the test to become a ninja. He told Naruto to steal a sacred scroll hidden in the Third Hokage’s room. Of course, Naruto didn’t know it was a sacred scroll. He accidentally learned a skill named Shadow Clone Jutsu. When Naruto’s teacher Iruka found him, he already learned the skill and Mizuki came to take the sacred scroll. Mizuki tried to kill Naruto but Iruka blocked the attack. Naruto ran away and Mizuki tried to kill Iruka but Naruto used his new skill and defeated Mizuki.
Naruto produced hundreds of clones of himself and attacked Mizuki until he was completely fainted. Iruka awarded Naruto a ninja headband and Naruto became a Genin, the lowest rank of ninjas.
There is always a team of three people and an instructor that you get assigned to when you become a ninja. Naruto was assigned to Sasuke, Sakura, and their instructor Kakashi. Kakashi was a Jonin, the second highest ninja rank next to Hokage.

Kakashi trains the team and does missions with them. After many missions to help other countries, Kakashi feels the team is ready to take the Chunin exam. If they pass the exam, they would become a Chunin, the ninja rank above Genin and below Jonin. In a part of the test, a really strong character named Orochimaru appears and attacks Sasuke. Orochimaru was one of the three Sannin, a legendary group of ninjas. He knows Sasuke is training to kill his brother Itachi, to avenge the death of his clan so he lures Sasuke into letting him train Sasuke.

Orochimaru wanted Sasuke’s sharingan, a power that only someone in his clan could have. He had to transfer bodies with Sasuke, but he would have to wait three years. So he gave Sasuke a strong power, known as the Curse Mark.
On the last part of the Chunin exam, Orochimaru, the Hidden in the Sand village, and the Sound Village ninjas attacked Konoha, Naruto’s village. Orochimaru fought the Third Hokage and the Hokage disabled his arms, but died.
Konoha won the War but lost many ninjas.
Sasuke went after Gaara, a sand ninja that was a spy. Gaara defeated Sasuke and his Curse Mark spread badly because Sasuke couldn’t control it.
Naruto came and due to his training with Jiraiya, one of the three Sannin, he learned the Summoning Toad Technique, a strong move named Rasengan, and learned how to control his Nine-Tailed Fox power so he ended the fight with Gaara as a tie.
After the war, Sasuke had completely gone crazy because he knew that he was weaker that Naruto, and that wasn’t enough to kill Itachi. He went searching for Orochimaru so he could get power. Four Sound Ninjas found Sasuke and have him the power of the Curse Mark. Naruto tried to stop him but the Curse Mark allowed Sasuke to transform into a demon and Naruto lost the battle.
Naruto had to train more so he trained with Jiraiya for two and a half years. He learned the Oodama Rasengan, an advanced version of Rasengan.
He came back later, and Gaara was Kazekage, king of the Sand Village. Konaha and the Sand Village had become friends at that time. Unfortunately, an evil clan of ten members, including Itachi and Orochimaru, sent two members to capture Gaara. Gaara had a monster inside his body, just like Naruto did, so the clan wants the monster’s power. Gaara managed to clip off one of the clan member’s arms, but was still defeated.
Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and one of the clan member’s mother went to save Gaara. Another team of Neji, Tenten, Rock Lee, and Gai came along to help too. This team uses taijutsu to fight, which means fighting with arms and fists, instead of using jutsus. Kakashi’s team had to face off against Itachi, and Gai’s team had to defeat another member of the evil clan, Kisame. Both teams won, but they escaped.
This is all I saw for Naruto, a brief introduction. They will be more episodes coming up, and I’m going to watch them.
