Runescape

My favourite game is called Runescape. Runescape is an official online multiplayer game that doesn’t require downloading. It is free but you can subscribe for membership to get extra benefits if you like to. The membership costs 7 Canadian dollars for one month. Runescape only requires a mouse and a keyboard to play.

If you want to play this game, go to www.runescape.com and click on ”Create a free account(New User). Type in the username and password you would like to have in this game. If you want to have membership, page down and find “Membership”. After you are done that you can start playing.

Me and My Friends

My account username is called super 10123. This is me with my best armour and the coolest looking armour I have. I am holding a rune scimitar and wearing full black gold. In my inventory is full rune without the helmet, a easter ring and some money. I also have many friends that play Runescape. Helen’s account is Helen12444. My friends at school’s accounts are: skfnxh2, skfnxh0, ihadanidea, fraction 1, and youhadnoidea. My best friend’s account is fobby99. I am level 70 combat. My ranging is 45, defense is 58, strength is 61, attack is 58, cooking is 56, fishing is 53 but all the others are low levels. I taught all my friends how to play Runescape. My old account was called hut112, it was level 52, but someone hacked me and I had to start a new account.

Why It’s So Cool
I have been playing Runescape for more than 2 years and each time I play, I like Runescape better. Runescape has many new graphics and cool things that are cool, like my Easter ring I got this Easter, which can turn me into an Easter egg. This year’s Halloween there will be a very cool game so I am preparing myself for it.

There are lots of quests and mini games. My favourite mini game was Account Security. You get to have fancy or fighting boots if you succeed at it. That mini game is still on, you could still go and try it! They are also Random Events. Some are good but some are bad. Good events will give you things but bad events will have a monster attack you. Monsters include a Rock Golem, shade, zombie, river troll and evil chicken. Tree Spirits will appear if you are cutting trees for a long time.

How Do You Play Runescape?

The purpose of playing Runescape is to become the best and strongest player and have the most money and fame. With lots of money, you could buy lots of cool armour and weapons.

To be the best, you must learn to earn money and trade with other players. One common way of making money is to sell big bones and limpwurt roots. You can only get these things from Giants like Hill Giants and Moss Giants. I use this way because you get to train on Hill Giants and get money at the same time! These things are worth 300-400 coins each if you sell them to banks. In banks, there are always lots of players buying and selling stuff.

The second way is to kill other players in the wilderness. When you kill someone in the wilderness, you can get their things and sell them for money. Don’t try to actually kill a group of people alone or a really high leveled player. They can kill you really easily and take your things.

You use the mouse the keyborad to play the game. The mouse is used to move and interact with your player like talk and attack. The arrow keys on your keyboard adjusts your view of the game. You can talk by typing in the words and pressing enter. When you start playing, you will start at Tutorial Island. You will be combat level 3. The limit is 126 combat level in Runescape. You will be teleported to Lumbridge after you do the training and you will find training guides there.

In Lumbridge, they will give you more weapons to train. In non-members armour, there is bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adament and rune. These are listed from good to best. For weapons, it is also from bronze to rune. The wilderness is a place where people can fight each other. The levels of the wilderness allow different levels of players to play. For example: you can fight a level 3 if you are in level 1 wilderness, if you are level 45, you can fight a level 15 in level 30 wilderness. Just do the math. I had died in the wilderness for more than 5 times and I lost lots of rune weapons.

I think Runescape is a good game because it gives you fun and interesting things to participate in lets you help people. It feels like I am helping a real person in real life when I play Runescape’s quests. You should try playing Runescape on: www.miniclip.com, www.runescape.com, www.mofunzone.com. If you need help with the game try www.runehq.com!

I have started playing a new game called Maplestory. I will also write a story about it. Stay tuned!

The Taverly Dragon's Flames

It was very early in the morning. Jess and his elder sister Alice were alone at home playing chess. Alice always won, and Jess as tired of it. Alice always wanted Jess to play chess with her and always talks coldly. Alice is like that because years ago, Alice met an evil witch and the witch cast an evil spell on her that made her evil in her heart. Jess always begs Alice
exciting. to play sports games or anything.

“Please, I want to play soccer!” Jess demanded.

“No! You come here and play chess!” Alice demanded.

“I will just play games on the computer.” Jess replied while he stamped out and slammed the door. Alice just continued playing chess by challenging herself. Suddenly, a huge rush of wind blew in and an old-looking wizard appeared in front of Alice. Jess ran in and hid behind Alice.

“Alice and Jess, I am Sortho the wizard and I came to tell you that you need to save Sonoth. Sonoth is a city in the past that is now called Toronto but a dragon magically in our city and attacked our kingdom. If you don’t save Sonoth in time, the world will be destroyed. You have three days.” the wizard demanded.

“Wow! We are chosen to save the world!” Jess exclaimed.

“NO, I don’t want to go, I don’t have time.” Alice replied.

“We have to! If we don’t the world will be destroyed!” Jess shouted.

“Fine, we will go.” Alice replied.

“Very well, after you’re done you get two free wishes."
Sortho inquired.

“Now I shall give you control to teleport this house to wherever you want but it only works for four days.”

He vanished as he said. Jess sat down and told the house to take them to Sonoth. They blasted off into the air and poofed to Sonoth. It was a very old city with almost no people. A man came to them and spoke to them.

“Hello, I believe you are Jess and Alice? Follow me and I shall tell you how to slay the dragon. You need the Mystic Sword of Light which you can only find in the Dwarven Mines. I can take you there, follow me.” the man inquired. They walked along with the man and halted on a hill.

“This is as far as I can take you, the dwarves are very dangerous so you must be careful. That golden room has the sword there.” he told them as he pointed to a room. He ran away and disappeared. They slowly crept into the Mines and there was lots of rocks there. A dwarf bumped into them.

"Hey what the heck are you doing here! Dwarwen Selaga!" the dawrf muttered. He kicked Jess and Jess ran away screaming. They ran into the door and closed the door quickly. They took the Sword of Light and it flashed brightly on the metal coins and gold. They got into the house and teleported to the Taverly Dungeons. The dragon lied there and they woke it up accidentally. The dragon breathed fire at them and Jess blocked it with the sword. He threw the sword at the dragon and a bright blue light came down from the sky and hit the dragon. It bursted into flames and vanished.

“You have completed the quest, young heroes. Now you get two wishes.” Sortho said as he appeared in front of Jess. Jess wished Alice off the witch’s spell and Alice again. As for the other wish...Jess wished that he had all the video games in the world. Js mom screamed at him when she came home!

The Cheltenham Badlands

Yesterday was October 8th 2006. It was a very bright and sunny day and we went to the Cheltenham Badlands. Located just south of Caledon Village, the Cheltenham Badlands is one of the best examples of badland topography in Ontario.

How did these badlands happen? Why they are so colourful? The reason is because land clearing left the soft Queenston Shale (essentially red clay) exposed to rain and has caused erosion to create rounded hills and gullies. Iron oxide presents in the shale accounts for the red colouring; circulating groundwater causing the change of red iron oxide to green iron oxide accounts for the narrow green bands.

I love jumping around them and running on them because it is very exciting when I jump from one rock to another.

We passed a town named Brampton when we were driving to the Cheltenham Badlands. We’ve seen this town on the bridge from highway 401 many times. I always thought it was an old industry town. But this time when we went through the town center, it was actually very nice with many new buildings. I was so surprised.

When we arrived at Cheltenham Badlands at about 5pm, there were already lots of cars lined up beside the road. We parked at the end of a bridge and met our friends, Chen Li and his family.

When I was standing on the bridge, the view was so beautiful! On the left side were lots and lots of trees. My favourite were the sugar maple leaf trees. All the trees had the colour of red, orange, and shades of brown. It was a real sign of autumn! On the right side of the bridge was the astonishing view of the Badlands!

My friend Helen was already halfway down the Badlands and so I ran. I slid down a rock and quickly caught up with them and began climbing around. Helen followed me and I told her to try and catch me. I ran and ran up many rocks and jumped from a rock to a rock far away. I almost fell but I held on to the rock and climbed up.

The Hike

After a while, Helen’s friend came too so we started to walk around the Badlands. Then we found a trail goes deeply into the forest. We started hiking along the trail with Helen’s mom and some other friends.

We walked on the trail. The trail had lots and lots of small trees around it with muddy ground. I thought there were animals in here and stood close to the adults. The trail also had lots of little plants and lots of insects were buzzing round us. I felt like I was in a real forest!

Dinner

It was already six o’clock so we drove back to our street and we decided to eat at CongeeTime. We were so tired we ate super fast and didn’t care about whether the food was hot or not. It was very delicious. When you are hungry, the food tastes the best! Then we went home and we were back in home sweet home.

It was the best hiking trip ever!
