Epilogue of Johanna

This is an epilogue of Johanna. Read the story online.
Boom! The gunshot ringed out like an explosion. It hit Johanna square in the lungs and she fell slowly. Blood dripped from her bloody chest and she shook a bit and the doctor hit her again. She was silent. At the last second of Johanna’s life, she realized she was the deer the doctor was talking about. She realized this is what happened to all her family members that went missing and she was in deep shock. After the doctor shot Johanna, He skinned her and prepared it for future meals. He dragged the body to the garage and cut it into smaller pieces, and then he stuffed the pieces into freezers. The bloody smell thrilled the mad doctor. He licked his bloody hands and laughed with success.

Shortly after, Johanna’s mother starved to death and the whole family was finally gone. No more Chevrils. The half deer half humans were finally gone. The whole family was cursed of becoming deer when going into the forest when there was a full moon. It was like a werewolf transformation.

After two days the doctor decided to pay a visit to the Chevrils. He went in the house and was frightened at the sight of the carcass of Johanna’s mother. He tried to find Johanna but she wasn’t there. He didn’t know what happened and went back into the forest. What had happened to Johanna? And why is her mother dead? He looked around and saw some tracks on the ground. It was Johanna’s tracks. He followed them and was very puzzled at how the tracks began to look like the tracks of a deer. He stopped at where he killed the deer and he suddenly realized what had happened. He knew he had killed Johanna and was planning to eat her for dinner. For a moment, he wondered how Johanna had turned into a deer. He didn’t really care anyways. The doctor raced home and took the deer flesh out of the freezer. He buried Johanna and her mother together the next day in the closest cemetery. It was the best funeral he could give. The doctor would always remember what he did and would be miserable the rest of his life.

The next day, he saw a deer. It was young and fast. The doctor captured the deer and he put it in a cage. The deer reminded him of Johanna so he called it that and would eat it if he ran out of food. His wife called him a lunatic and moved away from him. Every day the doctor would feed and stare at the deer and think about what he did to Johanna. He didn’t know why he’s doing so either, he just did it. Eventually he would go crazy and kill himself.

About Me

My name is Andrew Hu and I have been to six different schools! Moving a lot is very annoying because I lose my friends but I can learn more when I move. When I was 2 years old, my family moved to Singapore and stayed there for 7 years! It is very hot in Singapore and it has a tropical climate. It was always hot so I went swimming a lot with my friends. Then, we moved to China for a year to visit my grandparents. When I was 9, we finally moved to Canada and lived in Toronto. It was very noisy on Yonge Street, but the restaurants there were awesome. Every week, we would go to this lovely Korean restaurant. After living for two years in Toronto, we moved here to Richmond Hill. I like living in a big house because there is so much space to play in.

In the past summer, my mother’s friend found a stray baby cat, and she gave it to us. The cat had 4 siblings but two of them were eaten by a dog. Have of our cat’s tail was bitten off, and she was there just in time to rescue it. At the time, its eyes weren’t even opened yet and it was as small as the palm of my hand. We call our cat Mimi. It is black and very cute. I always enjoy feeding him and playing with him. Sometimes when he gets too exited or angry, he would bite me so I have to calm it down by putting a basket on it like a cage.

I enjoy doing many things. Badminton and soccer are my favourite sports and I play soccer everyday at school. In the summer, we used to have soccer Wednesday, every week we would go to Richmond Green to play soccer with other families. I think sports are very good for your body so I try to exercise as much as I can. Sometimes when I have
nothing to do, I play computer or video games with my brother. I also like going to cottages in the summer to kayak, canoe, and go fishing with my family and friends. Life is good.
